Ferrets

Oscar wakes up sometimes when he does I will take a picture. What can I say about
Oscar, he is in, storys page, and, in the news page, he gets around

This is Marshall we took him home in March 2004 as a friend for Oscar, and they where
Best Friends in ten minutes, and he has the most wonderful nature.

And this is Oscar and Marshall together just weeks later, Oscar is a much
happier ferret now he has someone to sleep with, Oscar had rejected
three other ferrets, but with Marshall he accepted him in minutes.

This is Stumpy and Fidget, Stumpy would not let us touch Fidget when he
was asleep she loved him, sadly she died 30th Dec 2003 aged three
Fidget six, had an operation one month later for Adrenal disease.

This is Stumpy, Ferret Friends has had only three ferrets come in with no tails in fifteen years,
as soon as she came in, I was called because I lost my Stumpy above, at first I said no,
I did not want to replace what had been my favorite ferret, but she came to a show
and I fell in love with the new Stumpy and took her home on 25/06/04

Here is Stumpy (top) and Oscar on 10/08/04 they have become great friends, you can see how
nice Stumpy is looking compared to her picture two months ago, it doesn't look like its
the same ferret her coat is in very good condition and she's put on lots of weight.

This is Peter, I think his been at the ferret biscuits again

One week old baby ferrets

This is the Ferret Friends tent at Upminster show on
11/07/04 we were doing ferret PR and racing

This is Big Ted he came in a very nasty biter and had been hurt badly by someone
he is better, in the middle is Limpy he has a deformed pelvis and nose, and is small for a boy
and at the top is Gypsy very small for a girl with a poor coat she could be the product of
inbreeding And I was reading that people that rescue ferrets keep the best ferret for
themselves so they can win ferret shows, this three would not win anything, but I love them all.

The one thing ferrets love is luxury and this is six year old Titchypud enjoying her bit of luxury.

This is Toby (left)1/4 wild polecat Hob and Babe (right) 1/2 wild polecat Jill.

This one is Toby

This is babe

This is Sole who was abandoned near our tent at the Horndon on the Hill show.

This is Gypsy hiding in my trainer, she was found collapsed in a field and was very small.

This is Big Ted you can read about him on the story's page

We spent £2,500 on materials late in 2005 early 2006 on new cages, roof, electric's and 17'
wide shed, two pictures show some of the new cages the new roof covers all the ferrets with
sky lights and shutters, all work was carried out by volunteer's

We thought we would get a bit artistic with the following three pictures, did we get such
good pictures because we are experts with ferrets, not really, just that the baby
was one week old, and as long as she wasn't hungry, she don't move much.

Two one week old baby's very cute.

This picture below is Dreamer the baby from the three pictures above just 4.5 weeks old, even
at this age as long as she was not hungry she slept, guess why we called her Dreamer.

The Albino is Polo then clockwise is Honey, Johnny, Sasha, Dreamer and Evil,
and they are tucking into a plate of chicken gravy.

Below is Johnny cuddling up to a soft toy ferret

Its always nice to hear about a ferret that has been
re-homed, his new owners said.

"Just sending a picture of our beloved Frankie (formerly Jet) that we had
from the rescue center. As you can see, he's well settled in his new home
and is now currently ruling the roost, being waited on hand and paw. He's
an absolute star and we're all completely smitten with him".

On the left is 2 1/2 year old mum, Stumpy and on the right is 1 1/2
year old dad, Toby and below is there 6 month old Daughter,
Dreamer, who was born on the 7th July 2006 at 6am.
I just thought it would be nice to have a family group.

This is a picture of Limpy, you can see he has a problem with his face, it's not straight, also the back leg you can't see sticks out from his body so when he walks his whole back end twists and when he stops moving his tail always bends towards that leg, we took him home when he was 1 year old because we did not think he would get a home, people involved in the club will take home the not so perfect ferrets, so they don't spend there life at the rescue, he will be 4 this year and only weighs 1 3/4lb, he has a wonderful personality and is one of my favorites. Here is Big Ted who is 4 this year, he has been found pulling the dirty cloths out of the washing bag, and that face say's, what are you going to do about it, you can read about Ted on the storys page and although much improved he can still give us a bite if we try to stop him doing what he wants to do, but I love him even if no one else does.
